hello sun
Summer and heat has finally arrived! I´m just totally loving it!!! My achy joints are loving it too! There is no better remedy for my body pains than heat! Thank you summer!
So our "stuck at home because of gloomy weather season" is bye bye for now! We have moved out to the court yard again.
All the kids are a year older, and there is a new one added too :)
It is so interesting to see how all our children have changed in a year. Of course we have seen each other during fall and winter too, but not the whole bunch, and not like on those summer days at the play ground .
Micah has for example connected with a boy that has always been around, but they didn´t really use to play. Micah was a bit young for him last year. But now they are the best of friends.
As a matter of fact, this morning, I saw that Micah had tears in his eyes and I asked him what was wrong.
He said " I just want to play with Emanuel". He knew he couldn´t as today was preschool day.
But they got to see each other this afternoon anyways.
I think I loved the sun a bit too much today though... I´m red. And I feel slightly ill too. he he
I wish for this summer that I will enjoy each new day, and be thankful for all I have. And I wish the same for all my dear friends too. The ones that I see almost every day, and the ones that I do not see very often. (you know who you are and I miss you!!!).
I hope the sun is warming all of you and also, that it is being gentle to you :)
love Dana

happy things
While shopping with my sister I found these lovely things that just makes me smile :)
Plastic glasses and a dish washing sponge from Lagerhaus, and color full kitchen towels from Åhle´ns.
I´m sorry, but you´ll have to visit Sweden to find these stores ;)
I wish you all a very color full week ! :)

out of town
I decided to
go see my sister for a couple of days. I will not be able to do that
for some time now, and so I took the opportunity while I could.
I´ll
be starting a work preparation program next week ( I have been on sick
leave for quite the time), and I´m so excited to get back out there!
I´m here
without husband and child. (I am so spoiled). josh told me they´ll be
fine alone. And although Micah misses me (and I him) , it´s probably
good to learn to be away from mommy a little bit. (please don´t think
I´m selfish).
While I´m here, I needed to get some new clothes. I just can´t start
that job thingy, just wearing my washed out sweatshirts can I, ?
so me and sis went shopping yesterday, and finished our day with sushi (big smile).
Today, we just have been hanging out. Laughing, talking and having tons of coffee!

There is also a little "baby" in this household. (maybe you can call it a dog) ;)
and she has been trying to get my attention today as seen on the picture here.
Hope you all are having a great week !

give me the faith
Do you remember Ace of Base? (I mean as they where in the 90:ies)
Happy Nation was the second CD I got. (Pet Shop Boys was the first one) . That was a long long time ago.
I didn´t listen so much to their music after that. Just here and there on the radio. They were good, but I just got interested in other types of music. (still proud to be from the same country as them)
Haven´t really thought of the group since, til a couple of weeks ago, when I found a book written by Jenny Berggren (one of the singers) . It´s called "To win the world" (Vinna hela världen).
She writes about life as a world famous singer, and how she tries to make that work alongside with here Christian faith. All I can say from reading this book is that this girl is genuine. She is living In the world, but yet seem to have managed to not live Of the world.
So, reading this, I decided to search Spotify to see if she kept on recording. And she did. That is how I found this beautiful song that I can, in my everyday life, make my prayer.
Take some time to listen to it.

Mountains of sorrow and despair
Take me through journeys of redemption
Lord, make this broken angel sing"
