this is hard

Gaah!
First post in 4! FOUR years! And it is so hard to start writing again. Actually, I just want to go do something else right now, like doing the dishes or taking the trash out or something. But I'm not going to. (And Josh won´t let me), Because I think I need this blog right now. To document, share things, journal and vent.Oh., and I might do some whining too .

Last post I wrote, i wasn´t even pregnant with Hedi yet., and now she is two and a half!
Well, time flies. We all know that.
She is such a happy little kid. She has such an imagination and is so funny. It´s so much fun to chat with her about this and that.

Micah is now in second grade.
He is doing great in school and he  is very good at math in particular.
He is a sensitive boy with a great sense of humor!

I´m so proud of them both.

Last fall, I was doing some catching up with studying.
I completed my college eligibility with Religion which was what I needed for that, and added psychology and  `pedagogic leadership´. Subjects I might find useful for further studies if that happens.
And now I´m looking for a part time job.

Not sure how long til next post will appear here but it was nice to check back in for a bit and get a feel for blogging again.

Thank you for "listening" :)

love Dana

out of town

I decided to go see my sister for a couple of days. I will not be able to do that for some time now, and so I took the opportunity while I could.
I´ll be starting a work preparation program next week ( I have been on sick leave for quite the time), and I´m so excited to get back out there!

I´m here without husband and child. (I am so spoiled). josh told me they´ll be fine alone. And although Micah misses me (and I him) , it´s probably good to learn to be away from mommy a little bit. (please don´t think I´m selfish).

While I´m here, I needed to get some new clothes. I just can´t start that job thingy, just wearing my washed out sweatshirts can I, ?
so me and sis went shopping yesterday, and finished our day with sushi (big smile).
Today, we just have been hanging out. Laughing, talking and having tons of coffee!

There is also a little "baby" in this household. (maybe you can call it a dog) ;)
and she has been trying to get my attention today as seen on the picture here.

Hope you all are having a great week !

love Dana

give me the faith

Do you remember Ace of Base? (I mean as they where in the 90:ies)
Happy Nation was the second CD I got. (Pet Shop Boys was the first one) . That was a long long time ago.
I didn´t listen so much to their music after that. Just here and there on the radio. They were good, but I just got interested in other types of music. (still proud to be from the same country as them)
Haven´t really thought of the group since, til a couple of weeks ago, when I found a book written by Jenny Berggren (one of the singers) . It´s called "To win the world" (Vinna hela världen).
She writes about life as a world famous singer, and how she tries to make that work alongside with here Christian faith. All I can say from reading this book is that this girl is genuine. She is living In the world, but yet seem to have managed to not live Of the world.
So, reading this, I decided to search Spotify to see if she kept on recording. And she did. That is how I found this beautiful song that I can, in my everyday life, make my prayer.
Take some time to listen to it.

"Give me the faith that moves the mountains
Mountains of sorrow and despair
Take me through journeys of redemption
Lord, make this broken angel sing"

signs of spring

Slowly, with some setbacks, spring is arriving. This year I´m especially thankful for the sun showing up again..
There are signs that tells you for sure it is looking promising for it´s arrival. Flowers, fixing up the bike, and of course the things that was hidden in the dark of winter (apparently people think that stuff they throw -or not pick up, such as dog poo-will just disappear til spring comes.
I guess that is a sign just as any. annoying though.

It´s getting colder again, and a bit rainy from time to time.. But I´m feeling the spring non the less :)

Hi and Welcome

Hi.
I´m Dana. Welcome to my blog.
I have blogged more or less regularly for two years now. My first blog was lost because I accidentally deleted it. The second try , I haven´t been at so long, and i thought, what better time to switch platforms than now. If any time, I need to do it now.
So here I am.
I hope you will follow me here and for those of you who don´t , to get to know me a bit more. I would love to hear from you through comments and to find links to your own blogs / sites there.

Thank you for stopping by.

Love Dana
