this is hard

Gaah!
First post in 4! FOUR years! And it is so hard to start writing again. Actually, I just want to go do something else right now, like doing the dishes or taking the trash out or something. But I'm not going to. (And Josh won´t let me), Because I think I need this blog right now. To document, share things, journal and vent.Oh., and I might do some whining too .

Last post I wrote, i wasn´t even pregnant with Hedi yet., and now she is two and a half!
Well, time flies. We all know that.
She is such a happy little kid. She has such an imagination and is so funny. It´s so much fun to chat with her about this and that.

Micah is now in second grade.
He is doing great in school and he  is very good at math in particular.
He is a sensitive boy with a great sense of humor!
                                                       

I´m so proud of them both.

Last fall, I was doing some catching up with studying.
I completed my college eligibility with Religion which was what I needed for that, and added psychology and  `pedagogic leadership´. Subjects I might find useful for further studies if that happens.
And now I´m looking for a part time job.

Not sure how long til next post will appear here but it was nice to check back in for a bit and get a feel for blogging again.

summer 2012

I suck at making collages. But I tried to collect some of my very few photos I have from the past summer. I almost didn´t take out my camera at all, so the photos are either taken with my Iphone, or taken by someone else.

We tried to be out as much as possible. It was kind of a depressing summer, weatherwise, but we tried. We went to the movie with Micah for the first time, we had pizza in the court yard, and we even sat out at the play ground thru some rain. We just had to use umbrellas. (ok, we gave up after 15 minutes, but we tried).
One day when it felt sort of warm, we went to the fake lake. It got cold.And the kids we went with ended up being covered in leaches :o  So we didn´t go back.
Compared to the summer before that, it was a little miserable. I love the heat. Yes, I do. I´d rather sweat than freeze!!! And I didn´t sweat last summer. Just a few days in May (ahh) -well, I don´t love sweat, I just rather be warm than chilly! If you get me.

One really fun thing we did, was taking a family cruise with our dear friends, the Vallgren family. Us three and them four, all in one car, we where off to Stockholm to take the ship to Åbo (finland) and back. We didn´t get of there, it was just like a floating hotel. That was the whole point.
We ate goood food. We played. we laughed. we went to story time with the famous finish characters from the stories about the Moomin Troll . We even went swimming on the ship! It was perfect :)
(so was the tax free shops).

Hoping for a warmer summer this year.. But it´s not looking good. It´s almost May, and the leaves has not even budded yet! I wish to sweat just a little at least ;)

Summer and heat has finally arrived! I´m just totally loving it!!! My achy joints are loving it too! There is no better remedy for my body pains than heat! Thank you summer!
So our "stuck at home because of gloomy weather season" is bye bye for now! We have moved out to the court yard again.
All the kids are a year older, and there is a new one added too :)
It is so interesting to see how all our children have changed in a year. Of course we have seen each other during fall and winter too, but not the whole bunch, and not like on those summer days at the play ground .
Micah has for example connected with a boy that has always been around, but they didn´t really use to play. Micah was a bit young for him last year. But now they are the best of friends.
As a matter of fact, this morning, I saw that Micah had tears in his eyes and I asked him what was wrong.
He said " I just want to play with Emanuel". He knew he couldn´t as today was preschool day.
But they got to see each other this afternoon anyways.
I think I loved the sun a bit too much today though... I´m red. And I feel slightly ill too. he he

I wish for this summer that I will enjoy each new day, and be thankful for all I have. And I wish the same for all my dear friends too. The ones that I see almost every day, and the ones that I do not see very often. (you know who you are and I miss you!!!).
I hope the sun is warming all of you and also, that it is being gentle to you :)
